BU Boutique Exchange and Return Policy
Thank you for shopping with BU Boutique! If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for an exchange or store credit only. Please review the guidelines below to ensure a smooth return process.
Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges
- Return Window: You have 7 days from the date you receive your item(s) to initiate a return.
- Exchange or Store Credit Only: We do NOT issue refunds. You may return items for exchange (equal or lesser value) or store credit (less shipping fees).
- Condition of Items: Items must be in new condition — unwashed, unaltered, with original tags attached (if applicable).
Limitations on Exchanges
- One Exchange Per Order: Exchanges are allowed only once per order. Multiple exchanges on the same order are not permitted.
Non-Returnable Items
- Final Sale: All accessories and permanently marked down items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.
Return Shipping
- Customer Responsibility: All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking information so that you can obtain a tracking number for your records.

Store Credits
- Store Account Requirement: Store credits will be applied to your BU Boutique store account. Please ensure you have created a store account before submitting a return.
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
- Inspection and Contact: Inspect your order upon receipt. If you receive defective, damaged, or incorrect merchandise, contact us within 3 days. Include a photo and order details in your email to help us resolve the issue.
- No Exceptions: Requests made after 3 days from delivery will not be accepted.
Lost or Stolen Packages
- Confirmed Delivery: We are not responsible for packages lost or stolen after they are marked as delivered. If your mail area is unsecure, please consider using an alternative address.
- Incorrect Address: Ensure your shipping address is correct in your account profile; we are not liable for incorrect deliveries due to address errors.
Returning Merchandise
- Shipping Responsibility: Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated. We recommend using a carrier with tracking.
- Processing: Once your return is received, allow up to 5 business days for processing. You will receive an email notification with the return status.
Refunds
- Store Credit Only: Refunds are issued as store credit, minus any shipping fees.

Shipping Methods
- All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS and should arrive within 7-10 business days.
- During holiday periods, shipping may be delayed. Please add an additional 15 business days (excluding weekends) to the standard shipping timeline.
Responsibility for Packages
- BU Boutique is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
- We are not liable for packages that are damaged while in transit or delayed due to inclement weather. For inquiries regarding lost or stolen packages, please contact your local post office.
Tracking Your Order
- Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking number.
- Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to register with the carrier, allowing you to track your package.
Shipping Costs
- Shipping costs are NON-REFUNDABLE.
